Chanelle Brusseau

Hometown: Caldwell, ID
Undergraduate Institution: University of Idaho
College: Pfeiffer University for Physician Assistant Masters degree Hobbies:  My family and I love to be outdoors boating, skiing, and enjoying nature when we can! I also grew up in agriculture so many of my interests and hobbies stem from this lifestyle! Agriculture is my family's livelihood! I have such a strong passion for agriculture; while pursuing my professional career, I continued partial ownership in our family's hobby cattle herd. I enjoy growing my cattle herd, showing them in various states in the U.S. and working with my family to make excellent Red Angus cattle!
Academic Interests: I have a passion for emergency medicine. I love being able to help patients through, what can be, one of the hardest times in their life. As a native Idahoan, I have a passion for wilderness medicine, especially in rural areas. When resources are scares, I like the challenge to optimize my resources to the best of my ability to help me patients.
Favorite Activities in New Haven: There are many different cultures of restaurants to try in New Haven. As any country girl, I love a good cut of steak, although the food in New Haven has unbelievable variety.
Why Yale’s Emergency Medicine Program: I was searching for an Emergency Medicine Program that would accept PA's and want to teach them to be the best they can be. I felt I  was going to gain a lot of experience at Yale.
Random Factoid: Fun fact about me is I enjoy my time being able to explore this beautiful country where I was raised. I love seeing all areas of the U.S.A. I am grateful to be able to call America my home!
